The word Szamorodni means “as it comes” that means that we harvest those bunches that contain aszú berries and healthy ripe berries as a whole (when making Aszú wine, aszú berries are picked separately) before pressing soaking eases the botrytised taste to be released. Based in the village of Mád, Szepsy is one of the finest producers of Tokaji wine. The Szepsy family has been producing wine in the region since the 16th century and current head of the estate, István Szepsy, is regarded as a leading figure in Hungarian winemaking. This vintage expression is a fresh sweet wine, boasting notes of yellow fruits, nuts and a touch of minerality.
