French Wine
France is home to some of the most prestigious wine regions of the world, despite its complacency and notable challenges from newcomers to the global wine market, it still remains the world’s finest wine-producing nation, with famous regions such as Bordeaux, Burgundy, Champagne, Loire amongst others.
With a long and prestigious winemaking history that is said to pre-date the Roman occupation, France has been hugely important in shaping today's global wine industry, through the development of grape varieties as well as winemaking techniques.
