The Minisci family have been producing extra virgin olive oil in Calabria for three generations, they farm and mill typical Calabria olive varieties: Dolce di Rossana, Leccino, Corolea and Tondino.
Their lands lie on the Sibari Plain, between the Ionian coast and the Sila Greca Mountains - close to the ancient Greek city of Sybaris, where Sybarite Cellars derive their core company and lifestyle values of luxurious and pleasuring wines.
The Sybarites amassed great wealth thanks to their fertile lands, and in-turn became famous for their pursuit of luxury-seeking and sensuous pleasures.
The Greeks believed that olive oil was an aphrodisiac!...Sibari fertile lands, olive oil and a fondness for sensual pleasure…..mmm “we’re not saying anything”, except it does taste good!
Organic Molazza Extra Virgin Olive Oil is made predominantly from Dolce di Rossana olives which yields a thick, soft oil with a mild almond flavour.
